Reflections from the Founders Event: A Weekend of Inspiration and Connection

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Founders Event hosted by David Senra, creator of the Founders Podcast. It was a unique experience designed for entrepreneurs to connect, share ideas, and feel a sense of belonging—a feeling that can sometimes seem elusive in our fast-paced world.
As entrepreneurs, we often feel out of place in society. Our minds are always racing, thinking about the next big idea, the next opportunity, or the next challenge. The truth is, it’s okay to think big. In fact, it’s what keeps many of us moving forward, driven by an internal fire to create, innovate, and solve problems.
At this event, I had the chance to meet people from all over the globe, ranging from those just starting new ventures to seasoned business owners who’ve built long-term, successful companies. It was energizing to be surrounded by people who share the same mindset and to hear their stories—some filled with challenges, others with triumphs, but all with valuable lessons.
What made this event particularly special was the approach David and his team took. It was an environment where we could openly share ideas without feeling threatened. There were no salespeople trying to pitch us on products or services, just honest conversations between entrepreneurs. This openness fostered a sense of trust and allowed us to dig deeper into what truly matters in our businesses and our lives.
The atmosphere was one of collaboration over competition, where everyone was genuinely interested in learning from each other. For me, this was one of the most refreshing aspects of the entire weekend—knowing that no matter where someone was on their entrepreneurial journey, their insights could help someone else take the next step.
For those unfamiliar with David Senra, his Founders Podcast is a treasure trove of wisdom for anyone who loves to learn about the journeys of great entrepreneurs and innovators. He dives into biographies, exploring the lives and minds of people who have built remarkable companies and left lasting legacies. His passion for these stories shines through, and it’s clear that his own journey as an entrepreneur has given him a deep understanding of what it means to build something from nothing.
Attending this event reaffirmed what I’ve always believed—sharing ideas, learning from others, and thinking big are not just okay, they’re essential for growth, both personally and professionally. And for anyone out there who feels like they don’t quite fit into the typical mold, remember this: It’s perfectly normal to be driven by the next big idea.
I left the event feeling inspired, connected, and ready to take on the next challenge, whatever that may be.
